| 1949 | First local Family Group: Mrs. Alano's Group in San Jose. |
| late 1950's | Santa Clara Valley Intergroup began, comprising 4 or 5 Al-Anon Family Groups. |
| 1963, July 13 | The old District 8 is split into District 11 (Santa Clara county) and District 12 (Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties). Eight groups exist in Santa Clara county. |
| 1975 | Intergroup adopts its first guidelines (revised in 1981). |
| 1976, July 13 | Intergroup meeting night changed to second Tuesday of the month at the same place (Welfare Building in San Jose [Younger St.]). |
| 1977, Nov. 1 | SCV Intergroup begins selling literature to the Groups. (The AA Central Office sold Al-Anon literature through June 1977.) Literature was sold out of the homes of two volunteers. |
| 1977, Nov. | First meeting schedules. Before this, Al-Anon meetings were included on the AA meeting list. |
| 1979, Mar. 13 | District 11, covering Santa Clara Valley, is split into 3 districts (11a, 11b, and 11c). |
| ~1980 | First Intergroup office rented on Radoyka Ave, Sunnyvale. |
| 1982 | Districts renumbered; 11a, 11b, and 11c become 20, 21, and 22. |
| 1985, ~May 14 | Intergroup office moved to room 44, Campbell Community Center. |
| 1987, Dec. 22 | Intergroup files to become a non-profit corporation. |
| 1988, June | First stapled meeting directory, listing 100 meetings, including 8 Alateen and 2 Preteen meetings. |
| ~1991 | Intergroup office moved to room Q-83, Campbell Community Center. |
| 1992, Sep. 8 | Six groups voted out of Intergroup after months of disrupted Intergroup meetings, culminating with one of their Intergroup Reps being arrested by Campbell police. (Charges were later dropped.) |
| 1993, ~Oct. | Intergroup office expanded to rooms Q82 and Q83. |
| 1999, August | Web site for SCV AFG Intergroup goes online. |
